If making half, use the full quantity of filling ingredients and freeze what you don't use.
Ingredients
- 1 tbsp sugar (caster)
- 300ml water at blood heat
- 2 tsp dried yeast
- 500g strong white flour
- 1 tsp sea salt
- 3 tbsp rapeseed oil or other oil
- 50g butter melted
- 500g beef mince
- 6 spring onions, thickly sliced then halved
- 350g white cabbage, finely sliced savoy cabbage also works well
- 1 tbsp sea salt
- ½ tbsp ground white pepper
- 1 tsp black pepper (about 80 turns)
- 1 tbsp caraway seeds
- 1 tsp cumin seeds
- 1 tsp fennel seeds
- 1 tsp ground cumin
Serve with chunky chips, Dijon mustard and pickles. And beer, of course!
