Cottage pie

Ingredients
- 500g beef mince
- 1 carrot, finely diced or 2 smaller ones
- 1 tbsp rapeseed oil
- ½ tsp ground cinnamon
- ½ tsp dried mixed herbs
- 1 tbsp fresh parsley, sliced
- 1 tbsp plain flour
- 1 tbsp tomato purée
- 275ml beef stock from oxo is fine
- ½ tsp black pepper
- 800g maris piper potatoes or any suitable for mashing
- 1 leek, diced
- 50g butter plus extra for greasing
- 25g cheddar cheese, grated
